This year, Anouk got selected to participate in the YouthDIG program, part of the EuroDIG community – the European Dialogue on Internet Governance. After spending the last months preparing and meeting other participants online, she joined the community in Trieste, Italy from 18-22 June. During this event, important issues in the digital domain were on the agenda, such as privacy and sustainability, as well as fields of application such as AI and crypto – all key topics for the future of our internet.
These discussions concluded in the youth-messages regarding internet governance. As a key contributor to the topic of AI technologies, Anouk was able to discuss topics that are also of core importance in her PhD research, such as contestability of technology, multi-stakeholder involvement (including civil society) and anticipatory ethics.
